Acupuncture to get Pregnant?

Question by Tucson Kate: Acupuncture to get Pregnant?
I have been trying to concieve for 3 years, and have some very basic fertility treatment (Clomid and Metformin). I have heard some great things about acupuncture and fertility. Have you ever used acupuncture for this purpose? Did it work? How long did it take to see results?

Do you have any recommendations for me–things to do or not do, or talk to the acupuncturist about? Thank you!

Best answer:

Answer by Daniel WAcupuncture, by most professional accounts, is total crap. It’s “benefits” are mostly attributed to the placebo effect, and any real benefits are extremely temporary.

What is acupuncture for concieving?

Question by : What is acupuncture for concieving?
Me and my DH have been ttc for 15 months. Its so stressful, we went to a fertility doctor for 3 months, and with all the expense decided to try naturally. I have heard of people conceiving from acupuncture> What is that exactly. I have never heard of it until now.

Best answer:

Answer by BetheOneI heard from a report that acupuncture increases your chances by 60%. By going “natural” , in my opinion,, is always the way to go initially. Remember to maintain a healthy diet too. BOTH of you and then you raise your chances even more.

hope that help

Has anyone tried acupuncture for infertility?

Question by DagoGirl2000: Has anyone tried acupuncture for infertility?
Has anyone ever had acupuncture for infertility? I’ve used it for sinus pain and for muscle tension, but I’m somewhat skeptical for pregnancy. I’ve been off the pill for 10 months now and still not pregnant. I would like to keep fertility drugs to a last resort.

Best answer:

Answer by realityshowjunkieI was skeptical too but after 3 failed IVF cycles I tried it. I was successful my 4th IVF attempt but it ended in a rare missed miscarriage. My only wish was that I continued acupuncture after I conceived. I truly believed it helped me conceive as it was my only pregnancy. It really helped me with stress as well. I do know of many other women who had success, IVF and naturally, with acupuncture.

Much luck!

Question by J: Has anyone had TTC success through acupuncture?
My husband and I have been trying to conceive (ttc) for about nine months now with the use of fertility treatments. Unfortunately, my lining seems to be the major issue and nothing has worked substantially enough to result in a positive pregnancy test. I’ve read that acupuncture might help, but have never actually heard about it working for anyone I know. Any positive (or negative) experiences out there?

I have to get acupunture once a week and take chinese herbs twice a day..as well as mixing that with some vitex. could you tell me how effective that is and if u think it’s worth the time and money

Best answer:

Answer by gethelp9I used to do acupuncture for the pain caused my endometriosis, at first I thought it helped, but after a while the pain came back so I quit doing it. As for the herbs I have never taken those so I don’t know. I would say if you think it is working then continue, but if you can’t tell a difference save your money.

Anyone had experience with acupuncture and homeopathy with fertility issues?

Question by britneh: Anyone had experience with acupuncture and homeopathy with fertility issues?
I have had two treatments of acupuncture in my quest for a baby. I have low progestrone and random cycles so this was suggested. The homeopath took a sample of my hair to test and came back to me saying my left ovary functions to 90% capacity and right ovary to only 10% capacity. This has made me sad and not good about my chances. I wish i could leave well alone and leave it up to gods way instead of trying to find answers and solutions because often i end up feeling disappointed and like its never going to happen. They also said that I need to get more blood flow to my uterus. Anyone had any experience with homeopathy/acupuncture and can suggest how much i should take on board from them/??? Many thanks x x
