Question by jhjhh: how many dpo did you ladies get your positive?
fertility calendar says i can start testing april 5th and that i should be ovulating on the 26th… but i think i ovulated already.the 5th should only only be 10 days past ovulation ( maybe 12-13 dpo if i ovulated early). did any one get a positive that early?

Answer by 1st Baby due 6/26/09!I got mine 14 days after, but I didn’t try any earlier than that so I don’t know if I could have gotten it earlier. I waited until 2 days after I missed my period. If you use an early response test then you should be able to get a good result now. You can always buy one that comes with 2 tests in the box and take one now and if negative wait a few days and take another one.

Question by Lauren C: Need some input on my Fertility Chart Please =0)?
I am a little confused on my fertility chart, and would appreciate any help or advice you could offer. This is my first month off bcp, so I ovulated later in my cycle. I had the most fertile CM during CD 23-26, but I had run out of OPK’s so I didn’t get to test until CD 27 and got a positive. My temps seem to coincide with O around CD 26. I’m confused b/c I got a VERY postive OPK on CD 30. Does anyone have any advice on my chart and why I may have gotten that positive OPK? I’m hoping it is pointing towards a BFP!! Answer by Rene AThere is no question that you ovulated on day 26 of your cycle. Your basal body temperature is the most accurate.

We had sex on Monday and last night. Her fertility calendar said she would ovulate on Wed. Her menstrual cycle is like CLOCKWORK. She has not taken any form of birth control in years. She experienced “mittelschmerz” which is a pain from ovulating yesterday. Also, she experienced cervical mucus changes. I am 99% sure she ovulated. I can’t imagine that she didn’t get prego, but this is our first time trying so am I too confident or is it very likely that it worked?

Question by : When do you count from the first day of your last period?
I am trying to figure out what to enter in my fertility calendar, I m not sure if you count from the day you first see a brown spotting or when it is a heavy red one. I spotted on July 19 and heavy on July 24 and finished on July 27 which is 9 days…so Im not sure what day I would count from.
Any answer would be appreciated thanks!

Question by : After Copper IUD is removed how soon can I get pregnant?
Ok so I had my Copper IUD removed August 6th and still nothing. I have had my period every month like normal. My husband and I have been trying, I even went as far as downloading a fertility calendar on my phone. I thought it was instant or at least I thought from the research that I have done. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Answer by Melissa BTry ovulation predictor strips. You can find a bunch on amazon.com for cheap. And pregnancy test strips so you don’t use up your good tests. Also get an ovulation ticker or something if you have a blog or public forum you use. Try having sex two weeks after your period every other day. Also cafemom.com has an excellent group of women who are TTC masters. Just go to the site and sign up and join the group TTC.

You need to see a shift in your temperature readings that are .2 degrees higher than your last six temperatures and stay higher than any of those temperatures. Your current low temperature range is between 96.5 and 97.5. So long as you don’t rise above 97.5 and dip down again below it, you know that you ovulated when your temps rise above 97.7 and stay above 97.7.
For example:
Your low temps – 97.4, 97.5, 97.0, 96.5, 97.1, 96.8
If you had the next following temps, 97.7, 97.9, 97.7, 98.1, 98.0, 97.7
All of those temps are above your low temps, therefore, you could trust that you likely ovulated on the day you had 96.8.
