Trying to conceive and want to know about health insurance?

Question by : Trying to conceive and want to know about health insurance?
We are going to be trying to conceive soon, and I wanted to know what options I have available to me. I don’t have health insurance right now, and know that a pregnancy will be expensive..so what are my options?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best answer:

Answer by Billie AWell you can try for things like Cobra where you can find plans for as low as $ 85/month. Expensive? VERY our bill for routine prenatal, and postnatal care and delivery, Basic laboratory determinations, and sonograms was $ 4949 plus the additional $ 3000 that the hospital charges. And if you need an epidural or decide to get one, that’s an additional $ 500. I’m covered through work and have Aetna, so I advise you to find a cheap alternative. I only think Cobra cause it’s what my neighbor uses. Just . . . → Read More: Trying to conceive and want to know about health insurance?

What do you think about this?

Question by Carrie elizabeth White: What do you think about this?
I am 20 years old and overweight. Other than that I am extremely healthy. I walk daily and eat the proper foods (meaning I follow the food pyramid guide). My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant now for two years and I have been checked three times to ensure than I can get pregnant. The doctors tell me nothing is wrong with me and I have been pregnant once before but lost the pregnancy at around 8 to 10 weeks without cause. It was a natural miss-carriage and only required an internal ultrasound rather than a D&C. I have yet to get pregnant since then. I was reading online and found that lack of vitamin D interferes with fertility do you think this could be the reason why we have not gotten pregnant? I have a vitamin d deficiency and am not taking supplements for it. At . . . → Read More: What do you think about this?

Diagnosis of Infertility: What You Need To Know About Infertility Diagnosis

Diagnosis of Infertility: What You Need To Know About Infertility Diagnosis

When is a diagnosis of infertility given?

A diagnosis of infertility is usually given when a couple, after a year of trying to conceive, does not become pregnant.

Another kind of infertility is secondary infertility. Secondary infertility is diagnosed when a couple who has successfully carried to term a pregnancy previously, but now, when trying again, is not able to get pregnant after a year of trying. Also, a couple who suffers from recurrent miscarriages (usually after three successive losses) is also given a diagnosis of infertility.

Is the year wait necessary for an infertility diagnosis?

“Try for a year, and afterwards, come back if you’re not pregnant,” is the most common answer given to couples who are trying to conceive, especially those under the age of 35. But a year is a long time to wait. Do you have to try for a year before seeking help?

Not always.

Grown up Catholics only (thanks) Questions about concieving?

Question by bye bye: Grown up Catholics only (thanks) Questions about concieving?
So, hubby and I haven’t been blessed with any children, I have a beautiful step daughter from his previous marriage. But he was very ill for a time, and he was going to see if he was even able to have children any longer. Now, if it turns out its me, I know that many artificial forms are sinful, but what about fertility treatments (or is it the same thing). What about natural or herbal supplements that increase ovulation are those ok?

Thank you for your sincere answers
God Bless
First of all, I haven’t done anything that is against my faith. I haven’t even seen a doctor, for all we know it could be a result of his illness. As to the situation of his first marriage it is really none of anyone’s business, but it did fall within the guidelines of an annulment. I personally . . . → Read More: Grown up Catholics only (thanks) Questions about concieving?

what can basal body temp chart tell you about your fertility?

Question by n.mous: what can basal body temp chart tell you about your fertility?
Can it tell you if you have progesterone issue with a regular luteal phase 14days? What else can you find out from this chart…

Best answer:

Answer by Juelz ~*~CD7~*~Charting can let you know a lot actually. It will let you know that you are in fact ovulating and about where in your cycle it happens.
During the luteal phase it can let you know if you have a defect such as having a 10 or less luteal phase which can cause problems with the egg implanting. It can even tell you how good your levels of progesterone are as higher temps during the L.P pretty much means you have good high levels and low post ovulation temps can mean something may be wrong with your levels.

BBT charting is great at telling you a few things about your fertility and I’d recommend it to anyone
