Question by NYgirl: Could I become pregnant if trying to conceive two days prior to being fertile?
My husband and I are trying to conceive and according to my fertility calendar, I will be fertile tomorrow, tuesday through next sunday or monday, ovulating around this Saturday the 25th. I am aware that sperm can live for about two days so if we ttc yesterday, the 19th, what are the chances that i could become pregnant? Thanks!

Answer by talismanSperm can actually live inside of you for 3-5 days and sometimes as long as 7. If you had sex on the 19th and ovulate on the 25th, the sperm would most likely be dead by then, making them unable to reach the egg.

Question by WantToLose: Are there some supplements I might be able to try to help me conceive?
I have been reading a little bit about people who take a vitamin type thing called Geritol Complete (think thats the name of it), Soy (supposedely a natural form of clomid), and baby aspirin? Does anyone know anything about these or maybe something else I can take to make it a little easier. I’ve seen a fertility specialist and so has my husband. There arent any major problems. My husbands fertility is a tad bit low (but i’ve gotten pregnant since then so it must be better?) That ended in m/c and now i’m desperate!

My husband and I are trying to conceive, it is better to have sex every day when ovulating or every other day. How long do you ovulate? We have been trying for 4 months, last month I started using a ovulation tests and I am now and I am ovulating, now just how many times should I have sex, which way is most effective?

My husband and I have decided to expand our family, and we were wondering what’s a good amount of sex per week when trying to conceive? Currently we are “trying” about 4-5 times a week, but I’ve been considering bumping that up to every day or multiple times every day.

I hear you should start taking prenatal vitamins when trying to conceive. What are the best kind to buy? I live in Texas if that helps. I also have PCOS and have never been pregnant. So I am going to try Clomid in a few weeks.

I’ve heard from people that doctors say if you are trying to conceive that you should start having sex 10 days after your period. Is this 10 days after the FIRST day of your period, or LAST day of your period?

Answer by Dutchesswell im 5’8 as well. and for our height we should normally weigh about 150 or so. when ur prego or trying to get prego. to much exercising would be very bad. so if u want to get down a few pounds before then go ahead. or just work on that baby now. worry about weight after the baby is here lol

I guess I could ask that to my doctor, but I want to have an idea since I won’t see my doctor for another month or so.

I am just curious how long after you started trying it took to you conceive? And did you use a menstrual chart to track when you ovulated or did you just get pregnant?

Answer by Alyssa TWith my first we charted and it took 9 months, my 2nd was a surprise after 3 months of unprotected sex, Third we tried for and he took 7 months with charting.
