Question by : When do you count from the first day of your last period?
I am trying to figure out what to enter in my fertility calendar, I m not sure if you count from the day you first see a brown spotting or when it is a heavy red one. I spotted on July 19 and heavy on July 24 and finished on July 27 which is 9 days…so Im not sure what day I would count from.
Any answer would be appreciated thanks!

My DH and I have officially hit one year of unsuccessful trying. I already have an appointment scheduled with the ob/gyn for my annual exam so at that point we’ll discuss how I haven’t been able to get pregnant and I’ll let her decide what our next steps will be. I’m nervous about potentially being told that I cannot have children so please tell me what were the first things that happened when you seeked help getting pregnant. Thank you for all your help.

Answer by Mommyhood is goodMy doctor took bloodwork to check my hormone levels. I have always charted my temps and cervical fluid, so she looked over those at my first appointment.

Question by Cristina ? Claire born 6/9/2010!: Has anyone tried the First Response fertility test?
I’ve been seeing the commercial for it and was thinking of trying it if I’m not pregnant this cycle. It’s not an OPK, it’s a test that measures your levels of FSH on cd3 and I guess tells you if you are able to get pregnant. Anyone try it? Is it accurate and reliable? It’s not that cheap so I want to hear from people that have used it before I go out an buy it.

Question by CLC: I am having acupuncture for the first time tomorrow for fertility. Has Anyone Else Done This!?
I ovulated yesterday (im pretty sure) So I am going in tomorrow morning for my first session. has anyone been through this? I have heard a lot of great things about it.. but just wanted to see if anyone has had any luck or no luck with it.

Answer by realityshowjunkieGreat! I have done acupuncture in conjunction with IVF. I did conceive but because of my diagnosis I lost the pregnancies. But, I know MANY women who have had success with acupuncture! My acupuncturist has a lot of success stories too. Take the herbs if they prescribe them! I notices great changes in myself and I loved it!

Question by Thats Me.: How fast did you get pregnant after having your first baby with infertility problems?
I had problems with conceiving my first child due to hostile cervical mucus and i had ovulation problems. I took clomid and IUI to conceive. I was wondering how many women had infertility problems with #1 and conceive fast and normal with # 2? How fast did you concieve #2 after delivering #1?

Answer by Mandy BI had 4 miscarriages before I had #1. I just had # 2 12 days ago and they are 17 months apart. So 8 months, There was no problem conceiving #2.

i took 2 First Response fertility test and both had 2 dark lines and i still havnt started my period and plus iv been havina a lot of signs like..tight lower stomach, getting sick, sore nipples and dull back and head aches.. i did lightly spot tho and itlast 3-5 days and it started 6 days after we had sex..am i pregnant?

Question by Jennifer C: If using the first response fertility test how long should it take to get pregnant?
The first day of my lmp was 19 July and I started using the First response ovulation predictor sticks since saturday. Monday i got a light line but the directs say that doesnt count but ive been getting a light line everyday so far. We have been having sex everyday once and continuing to test for fertility. just wondering if anyone knows the chances of getting pregnant this cycle.

Answer by double blessedYou have a 20% chance just like anyone else. When you’re testing for ovulation it just tells you when you ovulate. If you weren’t using the strips you could still have sex every day and you’d have the same chances. Good luck!
