Question by Luisa: Is it me or my husband having the infertility problem?
June 11, 2011 was the day I conceived my first child. July 22, 2011, I had to terminate the pregnancy due to some underlying issues… It was after the termination that my husband and I realized how much that had impact our life, we were torn. Every since, he and I have had sex on the regular with NO FORM of birth control what so ever, and I have yet to get pregnant. I have been having irregular periods since then as well.
My last period was January 4, 2012, and I have yet to get it as of February 6, 2012, could this be it?
I’ve been using ovulation calendars and having sex on all my fertile days.. Someone help. I would hate to get overly excited, especially since my period has been irregular since the abortion.

Question by angelic: can getting a small amount of Clorox on your vagina cause infertility problems?
i was cleaning the other day with Clorox and I washed my hands twice after but the smell was still on it, then i masturbated. It didnt burn or anything but the smell of Clorox was still on my hand after. I didnt finger myself just rubbed my clit. can this cause infertility problems.
Best answer:
Answer by LGMDon’t worry, all a small amount of clorox will do to you is etching your superficial tissues again. It might make sex less pleasant, but it should not harm your ability to conceive.

Question by peachy: does anyone have unexplained infertility?
Best answer:
Answer by missrositablackI do. However there are really always underlining issues that people don’t even notice.
For example:
Under/overweight–slightly, so it’s not so obvious.
Stress
Hormone in balance.
These things are so common and so ordinary most people don’t even notice how it is effecting their infertility.

Question by sng: TTC #2 for 8 months with no luck…. unexplained infertility?
I have been able to fall pregnant very easily in the past. I had a 3 miscarriages, a stillborn and blessed with my DD. Now we’ve been TTC for #2 for 8 months and I don’t understand why it’s not happening for us when it happened so effortlessly in the past. I’m worried it’s because I’m now 35. Has anyone had something similar? Please don’t suggest “seeing my doctor”, that’s obvious, I’m just looking for personal experiences. Thank you!

Answer by Tiara PWell have you ever heard the saying “when you want it so badly, it wont happen, and when you dont think about it, it happens.”. It may be like that! Just keep doing your thing in the bedroom, and if it happens it happens(; . Don’t try to make it happen. Just stop thinking about it and let . . . → Read More: TTC #2 for 8 months with no luck…. unexplained infertility?

Question by Lea: What are the success rates of an IUI for somebody with unexplained infertility?
I have heard anything from 8% to 50%. I would love to find out the true statistic. My RE wants me to start IUI next month. I have done three months of Femara (monitored with trigger shot) and ovulated great but no BFP. I am 36 (37 next week) and diagnosed with unexplained fertility because all my tests have come back normal. Part of me wants to skip over IUI and go for IVF but I want to hear stastics first.
thanks!
Best answer:
Answer by TinaWhen going through fertility treatments (also diagnosed with unexplained infertility, I was 34 and DH was 35), my RE put the success rates at between 15 – 20%.
A lot of it depends on the number of follicles – medications like femara and clomid tend to cause 1 or 2 follicles to develop putting you at the lower end of the spectrum but if . . . → Read More: What are the success rates of an IUI for somebody with unexplained infertility?

Question by AngelFace: what is the best thing to do after being diagnosed with unexplained infertility please share stories!?
Ive been reading all over the internet that an OPK can also indicate if a woman is pregnant before a postive HPT! . I have normal cycles and me and DH has been trying to get pregnant for over 5years. My OBGYN have been doing primary infertility testing on me and heres what Ive gotten done so far:
1) ULTRASOUND TO CHECK FOR FIBROIDS MASSES AND CYSTS (came back negative)
2) HSG (a procedure to see if tubes were blocked). results came back negative. tubes are freely open.
However, I also heard by my OBGYN that the HSG can enhance a womans fertility for the next 90 days( which is some great news)
Anywhoo, I had the HSG on May 26 2010 (CD I started testing for ovulation on the same day. on CD 10 I got a postive opk (digital, by clearblue easy)

Question by Anj C: INFERTILITY PROBLEM: I’m fat and have abnormal menstruation.?
I’ve been wondering since I don’t really take pills or have some sort of birth control, my boyfriend and I have been having sex for 3 years and I don’t get pregnant.
When we were starting dating, I took birth control pills for 1 month only then after that no birth control method until now.
How will I become pregnant?
Last month, I was delayed for a month and I think 9 days, then some brown spotting occur; on and off.
Is there any chance that I could get pregnant?
Please give me some advice to be fertile.
Best answer:
Answer by ohellais there any chance you guys are vegans? you have to have red meat (zinc) in your diet, both of you so those levels in the blood are higher in order to conceive. Also you need to lose the fat, kevin trudeau’s weight loss cure is taking organic coconut . . . → Read More: INFERTILITY PROBLEM: I’m fat and have abnormal menstruation.?

Question by : Clomid after Recurrent Miscarriage and Unexplained Infertility?
I have had 3 previous miscarriages, the last one being a year ago. Since I have not been pregnant in a year, I am now in the unexplained fertility category. This is my first month taking 5 days of clomid, 3 days of estroidal, and an ovidrel shot.I am now 3 days pov.
I was wondering if there is anyone else who has taken clomid after recurrent miscarriages? What are the chances of miscarrying after clomid? I am also taking 200mg of progesterone.
Thanks
I have had the complete medical workup. All tests came back normal. I was told that the clomid and/or ovidrel would help to produce a better quality egg.
