Question by Moi: Why do people think adoption equals cure for infertility?
Why would doctors suggest adoption as an answer to infertility problems? Why is adoption even connected to medical conditions? Why is adoption suggested when a person mentions a medical procedure called abortion? How come people relate adoption to medical procedures? Invitro is a medical procedure to so why would fertility specialists recommend adoption?

I am 20 years old and overweight. Other than that I am extremely healthy. I walk daily and eat the proper foods (meaning I follow the food pyramid guide). My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant now for two years and I have been checked three times to ensure than I can get pregnant. The doctors tell me nothing is wrong with me and I have been pregnant once before but lost the pregnancy at around 8 to 10 weeks without cause. It was a natural miss-carriage and only required an internal ultrasound rather than a D&C. I have yet to get pregnant since then. I was reading online and found that lack of vitamin D interferes with fertility do you think this could be the reason why we have not gotten pregnant? Do you think a wife should be able to sue her husband for infertility problems caused by use of cocaine? (Cocaine usage lowers sperm count, increases abnormally shaped sperm, and decreases sperm mobility. Infertility problems may last more than two years after a man quits using cocaine.)

Answer by virtual insanityNo, I don’t think a lawsuit is a reasonable action. On what grounds would the lawsuit be based? Emotional distress? Did he know his sperm count was low? Did she know he was a cocaine abuser (or former user)?
If he knew he had low sperm count and knew she wanted children, then I think she should consider an annulment based on fraud.

Answer by LeleOur doc had prescribed ProXeed prior to my hubby’s semen analysis test. We waited to the test results and then found out we didnt need to take them.

I’ve been trying to get pregnant. I bought some fertility tests. I just took one and tested positive-I’m fertile. My question is this, Is it possible to test positively fertile WHILE you’re pregnant? Could I BE pregnant AND fertile at the same time?

Question by 1 m/c in August 09~ TTC again: What do you think of my fertility friend chart?
I am 5 dpo. As you can see my last cycle my temps fluctuated a lot after ovulation and i wasnt prego..this month they have become steadily increasing but very similar every morning after ovulation. Is this a sign of pregnany or does it not mean anything right now?

Answer by rubychasmIt doesn’t mean anything now. It’s still too soon. The progesterone in your sytem causes the temp rise, so the only thing you can be sure of now, is that you did indeed ovulate. If your temps stay elevated for at least 18dpo, and no period, then take a test.

I have always had irregular periods. Im 34 years old and trying to conceive. I dont know what days i may be ovulating.

Answer by MomoOvulation is very hard to predict, especially if your cycle is very irregular. I’ve found Fertility Friend to be really helpful, but the only real way to tell when you ovulate is to find out your temperature and lunial phases. I suggest you buy an ovulation predictor kit at a nearby drug store and use it to test and see which days you are most fertile. Also, please know that the older you get, the harder it is, so at 34 it may be a little harder to concieve than if you were 20.

Answer by C ZI can see why a person would want to use them, bu the side effects (getting pregnant way too much) is just not worth it. I’d just leave it up to God and pray for kids. (and yes, all you atheists out there, I know it’s shocking, but I DID just mention God and suggest praying to Him)
